RowGuide - GPS 'Hands Free' Tractor Steering |
|
The RowGuide system provides accurate guidance during planting, spraying and inter-row cultivating.
It relieves the driver of the intense concentration that is required for inter-row operation of tractors.
So not only do you save money by cutting down on overlaps and waste by doing an accurate job, but the operators get to benefit too by having less stress.
The simplicity of RowGuide means that all operators on a farm can use the system. I know every company says their system is simple and reliable to use but we can prove it.
AgGuide was the first company in the world to hire standalone GPS ‘hands free’ steering systems to farmers. The farmer only required a Steering Ready Kit on their tractor to be RowGuide Ready.
All that it took was a phone call and the system was freighted to the farm. AgGuide is still hiring the RowGuide system to farmers (see testimonials and hire) which we could only do if it was easy and reliable. |

|
RowGuide is available in three accuracies – 2cm, 10cm and sub metre. (These are the repeatable GPS accuracies, lower pass by pass accuracies are achievable.)
RowGuide is available for all makes, models and ages of tractors. For example, this allows the farmer to move the extremely portable RowGuide system from a new Case STX to an older John Deere 4960, then to a Hardi self propelled sprayer, etc.
Because RowGuide was designed by listening to farmers - features such as auto reverse, coverage maps, position and height recording, unlimited farms and unlimited fields are part of the standard software.
RowGuide is available for centre pivot, up and back and contour farming.
AgGuide views the operation of RowGuide as only one part of guidance picture. We also offer farmers the option of guiding their implements at the same time as the tractor and therefore completely steering the tractor and implement (see RigGuide) using the ‘Align’ PC.

How RowGuide Works:- |
|

Because RowGuide is designed to be modular, a steering kit is first installed on the tractor. It consists of a steering sensor, hydraulic or electronic module and a CanBus wiring harness.
The RowGuide system only contains two parts; the ‘Align’ PC and the GPS. This makes it very portable and easy for all farm employees to move between tractors, sprayers and harvesters. The Topcon GPS is an integrated system with the GPS, GPS antenna and radio in one very small housing. It is the first survey accurate system to use Bluetooth technology, which enables AgGuide to remove some of the cabling. A tilt sensor is optional and can be easily added to the CanBus at any time.
There are no bulky docking stations or big boxes in the tractor cab, just the ‘Align’ PC.
A console switch is used to engage RowGuide. By moving the steering wheel the operator can take control of the vehicle at any time.
