RigGuide - 2cm GPS Steering for Implements |
RigGuide can be used on any implement that has a sliding hitch, steerable discs or floating parallel bar.
It provides the highest level of accuracy to the implement operation during bed renovation, planting, shielded spraying and inter-row cultivation.
RigGuide was awarded the Invention of the Year at the AgShow in 2003 in Toowoomba and AgGrow 2004 in Emerald.
It's greatest benefit so far has been in the area of bed renovation, where RigGuide not only straightens crooked rows but also puts them back to their correct GPS positions without the necessity of double ripping, off-setting rows and pulling beds up again.
We have taken what was once a 5 pass operation and cut it back to one pass.
That is a significant saving for the farmer and the environment. In fact we have estimated that if irrigated cotton farmers in Australia alone were to use RigGuide for all bed renovation, it would eliminate the use of over 2 Million litres of diesel (which is more than a medium sized country town would use in a year). |

How RigGuide Works:- |
|
RigGuide and RowGuide both use the 'Align' PC. Therefore a farmer can steer his tractor with RowGuide and then place the GPS antenna on the implement to use RigGuide.
A CanBus wiring harness and hydraulic ram are fitted to the implement and special steering software for the implement is added to the 'Align'PC. A console switch in the cabin is used to engage and disengage RigGuide.
A remote control unit is installed in the cab to give the operator control and to show the operating state on an in-built display.
